S/S13 Beauty Trends | Nude Beauty Collection from Estee Lauder
"Every Woman Can Be Beautiful"
As seen on the catwalk of London Fashion Week, one of the beauty trends for the Summer is nude. Looking natural doesn't mean we go natural and for the new season, we have been coveting Estee Lauder's Nude Beauty collection. Contrary to popular beliefs (mainly from men!), creating a natural look with the help of cosmetics is a skill. So, why would we want to go through all that effort to put all that make up just to look "natural"? It may seem a waste of time for some but for most, wearing make up is essential to bring out confidence in us but also to create a more seasonally appropriate look. Not all of us are not blessed with naturally great skin so when the weather starts to change and the dark toned eyeshadows and bright red lipsticks in the make up bag are put aside, a hand reaches for casual nudes and pretty sheers.
If we're being truthfully honest, nude nail polish shades are not our thing and here at Style Prevail, we prefer brights and pastels which suits our skin tone more. Natural colours always seems to make our hands look mature, thus visually ageing them. Although, in Estee Lauder's defence, they have created created five individual shades for this French Nudes collection, which ranges from fair, dark, warm and cool, there should be one that "suits every type of woman's skin tone, personality and point of view" says creative make up director, Tom Pecheux. These new polishes retail at £14.50 each and if our previous experiences are to anything to come by, they are highly pigmented and long lasting.
Protection against harmful UVA and UVB, the DayWear is a lightweight, SPF 50 base. It has been created to hydrate and help skin regain it's youthful radiance. Apply after moisturising and under foundation, DayWear provides a smooth base for make up. It comes in a 30ml tube and is suitable for daily use.
The highly pigmented paint pots promises to be comfortable, non-creasing and last up to 12 hours. The colours are rich and shimmery, the light reflecting pearls make them dazzle and glimmer. This can be applied on thinly for a light and sheer finish, or the colour can be built up for heavier looks. On the subject of eyes, we love mascara wands that come with two ends, it feels like you're getting two products in one! The Two Toned Eye-Opening mascara is a sleek dual-ended mascara. The brush for the top lashes is intended to achieve bold and dramatic volume whilst the other brush defines lower lashes without smudging. The brush is designed to reach every lash to accentuate and define your eyes.
Estee Lauder has always been well known for their amazing range of foundation products. They usually give full coverage and a very matte finish. The Invisible Powder and Fluid Liquid perfects your skin leaving it to look flawlessly nautral. It is a silky and light formula, so light that you can feel that it is barely there. We can't wait to swatch this next time we're at an EL counter, it sounds too good to be true! If it does exactly what it promises, it should be THE foundation to wear for the Summer!

Mirage Bags
We've all lusted (from afar) for the latest offerings from luxury designer brands but new brand Mirage Bags, the newest brand on fashion accessory block, their aim is to offer customers a gorgeously designed bag at the great price of £24.95. There are fifteen bags to choose from and each one of them are bright and vibrant. You should pop to their website for a closer look and do a double-take on these designs because the there are actually tote bags with a print on them to give the illusion that the accessory looks and feels more expensive, a unique idea for recessionary times!
There's no denying that the colours of these bags are so wonderfully vivid, we can't help but think that they are just absolutely perfect for the Summer season. The print designs are inspired by the latest trends from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Mui Mui and the material is a durable 600D nylon with zip fittings. It is a luxury tote bag which will fit your whole life in to, and more! It's like a Mary Poppins carpet bag, but way prettier! If you are not into geometric, florals or animal prints, then the plain block colour options are still a fun way to incorporate a pop of colour to your outfit. We're totally in love with the Kimono one, that's our favourite, the one that caught our eye straight away.
Mirage Bags retail at £24.95 and is currently available from own website and Fenwicks stores. They will soon be stocked on Barrats website and Online Debenhams as well as Amazon.
